Marc Harrold, visiting professor of law, has published a book on immigration.
The book, titled The Borders of Faith— Illegal Immigration, Illegitimate Citizenship and Border Security, details the struggles and challenges that illegal immigration poses for Christians.
“The immigration controversy is mired in misinformation, conflicting statistics and claims of racism and xenophobia against those who not only seek rational, humane and efficient immigration laws and policies but also are cognizant of the pragmatic reality that America must enforce the rule of law and secure its borders in the post-9/11 era,” Harrold said.
He hopes the book, published by Xulon Press, offers more insight into the immigration controversy rather than adding more fuel to the already hot topic.
“I hope that this book provides background information so that Christians can make informed decisions about this contentious issue,” he said.
Harrold has worked at the UM School of Law since 2002. The Borders of Faith is his fourth published book. He has written poetry and legal nonfiction dealing with the First Amendment. He is the co-author of Mississippi Criminal Trial Practice.
