The Grisham Law Library provides printing services to law students, which can be accessed from the law library computers or via the wireless network on a laptop. To learn more about printing at the Grisham Law Library, read our policies below.
Printing Policies
Each law student who wants to be able to print from the computers in the library must logon using his/her assigned user name and password. After he/she is finished with their session, he/she should log out. This is the student’s responsibility. Students should understand that if they do not log out and someone prints from their account the law library is not liable for loss of the print credits.
Each copy costs 10 cents ($.10). The Law Library only accepts payments via credit or debit card. You will have to go to the dean’s suite during normal business hours, and ask them to run your card on their terminal. Bring your receipt to the Law Library and we will add the money to your account. The Law Library does not accept cash, checks, or Ole Miss Express. You can add additional funds to your print account Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
At the beginning of the school year, the law library staff will set up printing accounts and temporary passwords in advance for incoming first year law students and transfer students. New students will receive print account and password instructions during orientation. The library gives every student $20 credit each year. See How to release a print job.
Student accounts will remain active on the law server until the day after the closest Mississippi Bar Exam after the student’s date of graduation, or upon notice that the student has withdrawn from the Law School.
No credit for monies left on the student’s printer account will be given to the student.
If the user exceeds his/her print quota during a print job, then the printer control software will print as many pages as the user has on his account, and will then cease printing and delete the rest of the print job.
There is a limit of 100 pages that the user/student can print at one time. Your document must be formatted for plain, letter size (8.5 x 11) paper, since no other sizes or types of paper are available in our printers.
If you experience printing problems or you have forgotten your password, please stop by the service desk, or speak to a library staff member. Credit for bad prints will be given if, in the judgment of the library staff, the bad prints were not caused by user error.
Please remember that other students will be using the printers. Please be considerate.
