LegalTrac is a general index to legal and law related journals, magazines, and newspapers. Its coverage begins in 1980. It includes citations from over a thousand publications. It is available as a separate database, and it is also available through Lexis and Westlaw, where it is known as Legal Resource Index (LRI). The version on Lexis and Westlaw provides links to the full-text of articles that are available on those systems. LegalTrac uses the same subject categories as the library’s online catalog.

Lexis contains articles from several hundred law reviews. Coverage begins in the 1980s or 1990s, depending on the journal. You can use either natural language or terms and connectors searching. You can limit your search to an individual journal, or search all of the journals. Access to Lexis is limited to members of the law school community.
