One spring day in 1964, Charles Moore and Henry Dee were hitchhiking in rural Mississippi. The two black men were picked up by the Ku Klux Klan, tortured, locked in a car boot and driven to Louisiana, then chained to an engine block and dropped alive into the Mississippi River. Their corpses were found two months later during a search for three civil rights workers who had disappeared in the celebrated Mississippi Burning case. When it was realized that the bodies were those of Moore and Dee and not those of the civil rights workers - two of whom were white - the press and the law lost interest. And it has remained that way - until now. "Mississippi Cold Case", from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, tells how an aging Vietnam vet, Thomas Moore, decided to confront the Klansmen who murdered his brother and Henry Dee and to seek justice long denied by authorities.
