A documentary following the controversial captivity of killer whales, and its dangers for both humans and whales. Blackfish is a discussion on the keeping of intelligent creatures in captivity. The film employs the story of Tilikum, the notorious performing whale who, unlike orcas in the wild, has taken the lives of several people while in captivity.
