Scott provides reference assistance and library instruction to the patrons of the Library. He also oversees the Circulation Department, which handles matters such as patron accounts, course reserves, the copy machines, shelving books and periodicals, and updating of materials.

Scott received his J.D. from Florida State University in 1985, and his Masters of Information and Library Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2001.
