Introduction

The primary mission of the Law Library is to provide the information resources and services needed to effectively support the curricular and research needs of the faculty and students of the Law School. Within the limitations of staffing and budgetary resources, the Law Library also strives to meet the legal information needs of the Law Center staff, other members of the university community, the legal and library professions of the state and region, and the general public.

Our vision is to be the leading legal information organization in the State of Mississippi and one of the leaders in the South. We envision an organization that:

• helps people to understand what legal information will meet their needs
• assists people in locating legal information in any format that satisfies these needs, and
• provides access to the legal information which has been located.
