UM law school named a top best value among law schools nationally
The National Jurist ranked UM No. 5
In creating the ranking,The National Jurist identified 65 law schools and then looked at tuition. The publication considered only public schools with an in-state, annual tuition of less than $25,000 and private schools with an annual tuition of less than $30,000. The list was narrowed by including only schools that reported a job-placement rate of at least 85 percent and a school bar passage rate higher than the state average. The schools were then ranked with the greatest weight given to tuition, followed by employment statistics.
In addition to being the most affordable law school in the region, the UM law school boasts a 92 percent bar pass rate and a nearly 90 percent job-placement rate. The highest ranking went to North Carolina Central University School of Law, followed by Brigham Young University, University of Nebraska College of Law and Georgia State University College of Law.
