Going Green

Eighty-four players participated in the first Fall Kickoff Classic held at the University Golf Course in fall 2009. The event, organized by law students, raised $1,000 for the law school's building campaign. John Martin, third-year law student and co-chairman of the event, said, "The building fund seemed to be the best use of the funds given the importance of the new building to the law school and the university in general." Plans are to donate proceeds from future golf tournaments to a law school scholarship fund.
