In order to use a library printer you must:
- Fill out and sign an Application for a Login Account & Print Account (available at the Circulation Desk and room 316). Money can only be added to PAS accounts Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Plan ahead. Entering 1Ls (Class of 2012) may use the 1L website.
- The Law Library takes cash only. We do not accept checks, credit cards or Ole Miss Express.
- You will receive a confirmation of the deposit and your user name and temporary password when your account is activated.
- Login to the network using your user name and password. The first time you login in the system will insist that you change your password. It must be at least 6 characters.
- Open your document into the appropriate program.
- Select "Print" from the file menu.
- Select a printer.
- Print the document.
- Next, you will have to "release" the print job. Log into Papercut using your lab username and password.
- Check your account balance to make sure you have sufficient funds to print your document(s).
- Click on the “Jobs Pending Release” link in the left hand navigation window.
- Find your print job. If your print job is not listed, click on the “Refresh Now” button near the top of the page. Other users' print jobs may also be listed, so be sure you select the correct job.
- Once you have found your print job, click on “Print” to print the job and have the charge deducted from your account. If you choose “cancel” the print job will be deleted from the queue.
- Print jobs that are not released within 30 minutes will be automatically deleted.
- To ensure the security of our account, you MUST log out after you release all of your print jobs. If your account is left logged in, another user could drain your account of funds. Refunds will not be issued, if this happens.
- Users may still add money by visiting Jimmy Pitts or David Hargrove in room 316.
